Greater resilience helps absorb a fish's movements, reducing strain on the angler while controlling large yellowtail kingfish. By limiting excessive rebound, the rod reduces pressure on the leader when abrasion becomes a concern; field testing demonstrated its ability to land fish that previously escaped. A float-fishing version with the same slim, thick-walled approach adds the option of a more delicate presentation.
