If actual eligible import costs are lower than the service charges paid, the difference is not refunded, except where required by law or under the cancellation and return terms below.
The rates and fixed fee above apply to U.S. orders. Service availability and charges vary by destination country. Applicable charges are displayed at checkout.
Import Costs Handled by MINAMI
MINAMI is responsible for paying eligible import charges.
If a carrier asks you to pay an eligible charge, please contact MINAMI with your order number and the payment request. We will review the charge and arrange payment or correction.
Some charges, including taxes and fees outside import clearance, may not be included. Please see the service terms below for details.
Service Terms, Cancellations & Returns
Which orders are eligible?
MINAMI ArrivalPlus Service applies to eligible orders where the service is purchased at checkout. It covers the original import shipment to the confirmed delivery address. Replacement shipments are covered as described in the return terms below.
Customs authorities may request additional information or documents, and customs processing may affect delivery times.
How are service charges calculated?
Item-based service charges are calculated on each product's price after product discounts, including its share of any order-level discount applied to products. Only one service rate applies to each item: if more than one category applies, the highest applicable rate is used. Rates are not added together.
The fixed service fee and item-based service charges themselves are excluded from coupons and discounts.
Which import costs does MINAMI pay?
MINAMI covers customs duties, import taxes, and necessary customs clearance costs for the covered shipment, including brokerage and disbursement fees.
Inspection and storage charges are reviewed case by case, including where the customer is not at fault. We assess the cause, validity of the charge, and MINAMI's responsibilities under applicable law and the agreed delivery terms. MINAMI pays any amounts it is legally or contractually required to bear; other inspection and storage charges are not automatically included.
Valid additional customs duties and import taxes relating to the original import remain covered even if billed after delivery. Other later charges, including penalties, are assessed according to their cause and MINAMI's legal and contractual responsibilities. We will seek correction or cancellation of incorrect or duplicate charges.
An error by a carrier or customs broker does not remove MINAMI's responsibility for covered costs or amounts we are otherwise legally or contractually required to bear.
What if I've already paid an import charge?
If a carrier or customs broker requests payment of import-related charges, please contact MINAMI before paying whenever possible.
If you've already paid, please provide your order number, invoice, and proof of payment to info@f-minami.com. We will review the charge and initiate reimbursement of verified covered amounts within 10 business days after confirming coverage and payment. We will not wait for reimbursement from the carrier or customs broker before reimbursing you.
For incorrect or non-covered charges, we will review the circumstances and help resolve the issue with the relevant parties.
What happens if I cancel or return an order?
- Full cancellation before shipment: All MINAMI ArrivalPlus Service charges, including the fixed service fee, will be refunded.
- Partial cancellation before shipment: Item-based service charges will be recalculated, and any resulting difference will be refunded. The fixed service fee remains applicable if the service is still provided for the remaining items, but will be refunded if the service is no longer required.
- If DDP shipping is unavailable before dispatch: We will contact you to choose between a full refund of the service charges with standard shipping, or cancellation of the entire order with a full refund of the amount paid, including products, shipping, and service charges. Before you choose standard shipping, we will explain which import costs you would be responsible for. We will hold shipment until you confirm your choice.
- Change-of-mind returns after shipment: Service charges are generally non-refundable.
- Damage after shipment: Once the purchased service has been provided, damage alone does not normally entitle you to a refund of service charges. This does not affect our responsibility for the goods, including any refund or replacement required by applicable law. Items that were defective before shipment are handled under the next provision.
- Returns for incorrect items or defects present before shipment: If the entire order is returned for these reasons, all service charges, including the fixed fee, will be refunded. For a partial return, we will refund the item-based charges for the affected items and a proportional share of the fixed fee. That share is calculated using the returned items' after-discount product value divided by the original order's total after-discount product value.
- Replacement shipments: If MINAMI provides a replacement at no charge to fulfill our responsibility for damaged, defective, or incorrectly supplied goods, we will not charge the service fees again. MINAMI will bear the replacement shipment's covered import costs under the same coverage terms.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under applicable law.
Are there any other exclusions?
Additional costs directly caused by customer-requested delivery changes, refusal of delivery without a valid reason, incorrect information, or failure to provide required documents or cooperation may fall outside this service. Any amount charged to the customer is limited to documented, reasonable additional costs actually incurred as a direct result, and must be permitted by applicable law and the agreed terms. We will explain the reason, amount, and supporting basis before requesting payment.
A customer's refusal to pay an incorrect demand for a covered import charge does not, by itself, invalidate this service. Routine customs inspections or clearance delays alone do not invalidate it either; inspection and storage charges are assessed under the coverage terms above.
Taxes and fees unrelated to importing the covered shipment are outside this service. This does not exclude costs MINAMI is required to bear under applicable law or the agreed delivery terms, or limit your statutory rights.
A smoother arrival, with clearer import costs.
