The 2.5-layer Pertex Shield Pro fabric combines 30,000mm water resistance with a stated moisture-permeability rating of 13,000g/m². Three overlapping back vents and a horizontally stretching gathered structure allow ventilation during casting. Raised shoulder vents circulate air even with the front closed, while snaps reduce flapping when the zipper is open. YKK AquaGuard Tightened improves zipper water resistance without a backing flap, reducing weight and snagging. Side and pants pockets double as vents. Improved double cuffs limit water entry, and vents at the waist and behind the knees release heat.
