The original sliding spoon.
YARIE introduced the 0.9g and 1.1g T-Spoon around 2010 after identifying a sliding action while developing a smaller Ringo. Holding the rod slightly higher and retrieving slowly brings out more slides. The 0.6g and 1.4g models instead emphasize a stable, regular action.
A rearward center of gravity supports casting distance, and the offset line eye helps the spoon begin swimming immediately after landing. The 1.4g is suited to approximately 1-2m and can also trace bottom contours and slopes. The 1.1g covers approximately 50cm-1.5m and responds to rod input with small slides. The 0.9g is effective for surface buzzing and covers roughly the upper meter. The 0.6g uses a special material to achieve about half the weight of the 1.1g at the same thickness; it is primarily intended for dead-slow surface retrieves, with precise depth control available to experienced anglers.
