Effects of the rock salt plate
1. According to the manufacturer, the heated rock salt plate produces far-infrared heat that cooks food slowly through to the centre.
2. Rock salt is rich in minerals and absorbs excess moisture for delicious seafood and vegetables.
3. The rock salt absorbs excess fat from meat placed on the plate for a healthier result.
Directions for use
Place the rock salt plate on the cooking grate.
Heat the grill or shichirin. Once heat has spread throughout the plate, place ingredients on it and cook.
Adjust the heat to your preference. If the plate becomes heavily scorched, turn it over and continue using it.
Ingredients with a high moisture content can dissolve the salt and make scorching more likely. If scorched, turn the plate over. If both sides are scorched, gently scrape away the burnt residue with a knife or similar tool before reusing. Take great care not to cut your fingers or hands.
