Shipping policy

Shipping charges are automatically calculated based on weight. We select the best shipping carrier from FedEx, DHL, UPS, and JapanPost. We will always email you a tracking number regardless of which shipping carrier you choose.

Please contact us if you have any preferences for shipping companies. Additional charges may apply, but we will do our best to accommodate your request.

If multiple orders are shipped together or if shipping costs are significantly lower than our estimates, we may issue a refund in the form of store credit that can be used on your next purchase.

Important Notes Regarding Shipping

As our shipping hub is located in Japan, all shipments are international. Please note that we cannot deliver to PO Boxes for international shipments.

Delivery may not be possible and may result in return shipping if a nickname or abbreviated name is used. In such cases, we will charge you for the return shipping fee. Please provide your full name.

If you need to change the delivery address, please contact us. Shipping fees vary by destination, and any difference must be settled.

Additionally, if you request a change to the delivery address after shipment, the shipping company may charge a fee, which we may bill to you.

Regarding Customs Duties

In addition to the product price and shipping costs, customs duties will be charged. A customs duty is a tax imposed by the government on people who import goods from overseas.

Since we ship from Japan, customs duties will be charged. You can pay the duties upon delivery of the goods or pay using the invoice placed in your mailbox.

Delivered Duty Paid

When you use Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), we can pay the customs duties to the shipping carrier on your behalf at the time of shipment.

After purchasing the item, please let us know your order number and that you wish to use DPP. We will calculate the applicable customs duties and send you a separate invoice; please pay the duties in advance before we ship the item.

The advantage is that customers can pay customs duties in advance, so they won’t have to pay them upon receiving the goods. Additionally, there are no customs clearance issues, and customers simply receive their goods just as they would with a domestic purchase.

The downside is that using DDP results in an additional cost, as the shipping company charges a fee of 5,000 yen (approximately $30).

Fishing Rod Shipping Information

Fishing rods are long and prone to breakage, making them susceptible to damage during shipping. Therefore, our store ships them separately from other products using specially reinforced cardboard tubes designed for construction materials.

Internal cushioning is added to prevent damage during transit as much as possible. In the unlikely event of shipping damage, we will work with you, the carrier, and our store to find the best solution.

When purchasing multiple rods simultaneously, we will calculate the most optimal shipping cost during checkout.

Example: Shipping one bait rod under 200cm to the US costs approximately $60 USD. However, purchasing two rods simultaneously results in a shipping cost of approximately $86 USD. Therefore, buying multiple rods together offers better value.

Pre Order Products

New products that have just been announced are accepted as Pre Orders. Pre Orders will be shipped as soon as possible after the product is released. If your order includes a Pre Order item, it will be shipped when all items are available.

If you would like us to ship items that have already been released first, you will need to separate them when you place your order. You may also choose to have only the already released items shipped first by paying the additional shipping fee for the difference, even after you have placed your order.

Regarding Combined Shipping.

If you place another order after we've shipped your initial order, we may combine multiple orders into a single shipment. This helps save on shipping costs and reduces customs issues.

Any shipping savings achieved may be refunded as store credit for future use at our shop.

If you prefer your orders not to be combined for shipping, please contact us.

Regarding the Amount Error

Our company employs a proprietary inventory management system. Should product prices deviate significantly from the quoted amount due to deficiencies in this system, the difference must be settled even if the purchase process has already commenced.

Regarding Cancellations

If you cancel an order before it is shipped, a cancellation fee will apply.

The cancellation fee is up to 20% of the total order amount.

This is due to transaction fees charged by the shopping platform and shipping costs incurred for procuring the product. We will refund the amount you paid minus the cancellation fee.

Refusal to Pay Customs Duties

When you purchase goods from us, you are required to pay customs duties according to the rates set by your country.

We are not obligated to issue refunds for items returned to us due to refusal to pay customs duties.

Items refused for customs payment and returned may not be properly returned or may be destroyed. Even if they are properly returned, we will bear not only the one-way shipping cost but also the round-trip shipping cost and customs duties. This results in significant losses, making refunds impossible.

Our responsibility is to describe the product, pack it carefully, and ship it. After shipment, the carrier handles delivery, and customs duties are the responsibility of the tax office. We have performed our duties perfectly, so please understand that we cannot issue a refund.

Import Duties, Taxes, And Charges Are Not Included In The Item Price Or Shipping Charges. The most reliable way to determine the extent of these additional costs before bidding or purchasing is to check with your country's customs office.

We can also look up approximate tax rates for you. While this may take some time, please contact us and we will look up the approximate tax rates for you.

Regarding the customs duties you paid

You paid us for the product and shipping.
Therefore, we can refund the product and shipping.

You paid customs duties to the tax office through the shipping company.
We did not receive the customs duties, so we cannot refund them.
