Leader lengths are matched to hook size and function. HM uses Saber Point Hooking Master for jaw penetration, with a smaller lower hook for secondary engagement; the Long version suits fish nipping at tails. FM uses small, lightweight Fine Master hooks to catch the lips, again with a smaller lower hook. BL uses curved barbless Type F hooks with a small stagger to engage both hooks in the lips. Slowing the retrieve or following the bite with the rod lets the fish turn and engage the lip-hooking points.
