These pliers were developed in response to strong requests from Shimano’s offshore instructors. Because they are fully machined at the same manufacturing facility as our reels, we were able to achieve a wide range of functional features and a beautiful finish. Featuring the debut of the new "RUST RESIST" anti-corrosion concept, designed with the high salinity of southern waters and overseas expeditions in mind. The power-boost structure utilizes the principle of leverage, allowing for easy opening and closing of large rings—even those designed for bluefin tuna. A barbless hole is incorporated in the center of the body, contributing to the growing trend of catch-and-release game fishing.
