The Dirt Action

Equipped with keels on both sides of the body, this stickbait naturally produces the darting action of a baitfish leaping out of the water simply by setting the hook, easily triggering the bass’s predatory instincts.

When fished weightless, it mimics the darting action of ayu or crucian carp fleeing across the surface and occasionally leaping out of the water. Even when fished in the bottom range with a split shot or Carolina rig, if you work it with a darting action that makes it appear as though a bass has spotted it and is suddenly emerging from the bottom only to vanish again, the “Sakamata Shad” will demonstrate its full potential and lead to bites with remarkable ease.

Body Form

The smooth, flowing body line with no protrusions minimizes drag and water resistance, making it easy to create a darting action and widening the inertial slide range. It also handles high-speed darting actions, allowing you to deceive bass even in open water and trigger reaction bites.

The salt content is 5% for the 8inch, 7inch, and 4inch models (top 0%); 10% for the 6inch, 5inch, and 4.5inch models; and 0% for the 3inch, 2.5inch, and 2inch models. The material features enhanced tensile strength and improved hook retention, reducing the likelihood of the worm tearing or breaking.

The body features markings that serve as a hook-setting guide, allowing you to set the hook straight without bending it.

Heavy Weight Material

A heavyweight model with salt content maximized to the absolute limit. It eliminates inconsistencies in weight tuning and makes it easy to achieve a Sakamata Shad action from the mid-water column to the bottom. 8inch = 65% (41.0g), 7inch = 70% (28.0g), 6inch = 75% (17.0g), 5inch = 75% (11.3g). The upper section of each model has 0% salt content, ensuring a low center of gravity and stable action that induces bites without losing balance.

*Due to its high salt content, this material appears more cloudy than the standard version.
*The 7inch version also contains glass sand, a high-density material.

Fin

The fin, which is essential to the “Sakamata Shad’s” unique jumping darting action, directs the downward water flow when it comes into contact with the water, causing the lure to jump upward. The fin also acts as a rudder to ensure the darting action remains stable.

Tail

The split tail undulates to mimic the movements of baitfish, such as on the bottom, and moves just like a real baitfish's tail fin.
