Reports of longtail blackfish exceeding 50cm now come not only from the Pacific coast but also from Hokuriku and Tohoku on the Sea of Japan. Although known for powerful fights, these fish are easier to land when hooked in the mouth. Adjust Gure uses an inward-curved point that catches the mouth without requiring an early strike. Strong A1 material allows sufficiently fine, light wire for both blackfish and longtail blackfish. It preserves a natural bait sink rate while resisting the powerful pull of longtail blackfish. A versatile choice for longtail blackfish, mixed populations, and situations where swallowed hooks in blackfish need to be avoided.
