Chihaya emphasizes comfortable control, especially during the hundreds of casts made in a day's hera fishing. Reduced weight and improved balance help maintain presentation accuracy, particularly in shallow-water fishing. A fine, short-taper solid tip limits water resistance during hooksets and supports both soft and forceful movements at depth. The light, responsive feel resembles a tip-oriented rod in the hand, but under a fish the slim blank bends from the butt with progressive lifting power. This combination supports fast tournament fishing and delicate work in wind.
