Lightness, strength and power for stream fishing
A compact-section stream rod must balance easy one-handed casting with enough strength to control powerful fish in current. Seikoho R4 combines extensive use of ultra-high-modulus carbon, also used in long ayu rods, with high-strength materials placed where needed. The result supports light handling, accurate casting and sensitivity while retaining lifting power for fish over 30cm. Field testing included fine-line fishing early in the season and landing a 50cm-class rainbow trout on #0.4 line in peak season.
