Fill the basket and make a short cast.
A simple rig with a chum basket. The float closes the basket to prevent chum spilling during the cast, then holds the sunken rig upright in the horse mackerel's feeding zone. Useful close in or beyond a pier, especially for better fish. Fill the basket, close it with the float and slide the rubber retainer to secure.
