When fish are focused on slow-moving micro baitfish, aggressive jerks and slides may be ineffective. Maki Jig controls body movement and relies on blade flash and subtle vibration to trigger bites on a steady retrieve. It targets rear-striking fish such as mackerel and Spanish mackerel, as well as rockfish and red sea bream. The Jet model uses a rear-balanced body for long casts and a fast fall. Its perpendicular eye keeps the hook and blade together during casting and falling, helping stabilize the presentation. The long profile is particularly suited to Spanish mackerel.
