A dedicated light-game blade jig that catches on a simple retrieve.
This light-game version of Maki Jig makes super-light shore jigging easy from piers and breakwaters. Cast and retrieve for small pelagic fish such as horse mackerel and mackerel, or use lift-and-fall presentations near the bottom for rockfish and grouper. The compact body suits tiny baitfish patterns, while the micro blade adds attraction during the fall. The eye is positioned perpendicular to the body to keep the hook and blade together during casting, helping stabilize flight. A horizontal falling posture makes the jig effective when fish are reluctant to bite. It can also be worked like a casting tai-rubber lure.
