A compact blade jig for easy retrieves from shore to super-light jigging.
Maki Jig controls body movement so that blade flash and subtle vibration can trigger fish feeding on slow-moving micro baitfish. A steady retrieve targets mackerel and Spanish mackerel as well as rockfish and red sea bream. The Slow model has a compact profile suited to tiny baitfish patterns and can be worked like a casting tai-rubber lure. Its perpendicular eye keeps the hook and blade together during the cast for stable flight, while the body maintains a horizontal posture on the fall. This controlled presentation is useful when fish are reluctant to bite.
